Within 2 years I was promoted to the position of Vice President Customer Service, changed role to move to Marketing to manage Value Added Services such as Email Services, Fax store & Forward and EDI, under a new Devision as VP & Head Value Added Service Business.
As RCEM at HCL Limited Chandan was responsible for devoliping and establishing a state of art CRM system in the late 1980's when automation was minimal. The processes developed then at HCL are still current on an Automated Platform. His Team was awarded the best Team Nationally for 6 Quarter in a Row. He was the youngest RCEM Nationally to be promoted on a Fast Track, selected as a Forrunner and sent for a 6 Months Incompany General Management Training at XLRI Jamshedpur.
Chandan Joined Xerox as a Junior Service Engineer, His cuorisity and insatiable thirst for trouble, taught him everything that was to learn about machines, he was the only Engineer to be sent to Singapore for the training on the letest High Speed Xerox Machines (3600, 7200, 9500) due to his skills he was made the technical specialist, then made a Team Leader (Customer Service Incharge), He was the youngest Service Incharge Nationally and Possibly in the entire AsiaPacific Region.
